Abstract

The administrative and financial corruption is a disease in the body of society, it hinders development efforts and limits the investment of the elves economically, and it weakens democracy, which affects the political side and the circulation of power in the absence of transparency.

The problem of research can be explained by following question: Is the index of global happiness affected by the indicator of the perception of corruption in the Arab countries, The aim of the research is to measure and analyze the impact of the index of perception of corruption in the index of happiness in the Arab countries for the period (2014-2015) through cross-sectional data.

The research found that the perception of corruption is an inverse indicator, this means that the lower its value, the greater the administrative and financial corruption. The highest percentage was recorded in the fight against administrative and financial corruption in the United Arab Emirates and got (70%) while The World Happiness Index was(6.9). This indicates that the increase in administrative and financial corruption leads to a decline in the index of happiness in the Arab countries.

The correlation between the perception of corruption and the index of happiness in the Arab countries was (-0.728) This indicates that there is a very strong correlation between the two indicaters. In the field of economic analysis of the studied model, increasing the perception of corruption in one unit with the stability of other factors will contribute to the decline of happiness index by (0.049).

The recommendations focused on the need to reduce and address the problem of corruption in any Arab country, taking into consideration the factors that affect this problem, which would reduce the index of global happiness, and the economic policy makers in any Arab country to work to support and establish Sub -policies  which would widen the index of happiness in these countries.
